Doddamakkali trip, and Murali’s woes
Posted by karram on February 14, 2006
Team outing on Sunday/monday. Went to a place called Doddamakkali. Beautiful place, on the shore of Cauvery. Had fun playing volleyball and diving for catches in the sand. Learnt the art of bouncing flat stones on water. (The photo, captured by sooraj, shows self in the act of releasing a stone
).

Kiron set a scorching pace for the trip, even touching 135 kmph once ! In photo, kiron and the indica.

Highlight of the trip : A high-five between self and manager after winning a point in volleyball.
Lowlight : Losing all the volleyball games I played in :(.
A detailed travelogue will be published later.
Had a pleasant surprise waiting for me when I got back home on monday evening from the trip. The newspaper reported that the Aussies had hammered Lanka by 167 runs. Symonds scored a hundred and Murali went for 99 in his 10 overs. Best spinner in the world, my foot.
